Pull up a chair and I'll tell you...... The carousel in the park had one unicorn, painted a pearlescent white with a gold, silver and blue collar and a dark brown mane. She was very popular, all the little girls loved riding on her and hugging her and she was very gentle with them. They made her smile but she always wished she could go home with them for tea. She loved how they ran and jumped about. The day that Mary Poppins left the Banks' children for the second time was the day that changed the little unicorn's life forever. When the carousel had whirled up towards the stars so that from the ground it looked no more than a bright star twinkling away itself, then Mary Poppins told the unicorn that she would be granted a wish. She wanted with all her heart to be a little girl. Mary Poppins told her to close her eyes....... Later she woke up on the "Pacific Rin", bound for Earth. She also had a name - Karrosel. So that she never forgets where she came from, she will be half girl/half unicorn whenever the bright new star Astra Caro-Stella can be seen in the night sky. When she first arrived with us, the star was still visible in the sky and so she had four legs and a horn. A few days later Astra Caro-Stella dipped below the horizon and for the first time Karrosel was a real little girl. No one knows when the changes will occur but when a bright, shining, spinning star rises in the east we hear the clop of hooves and faint whinnies....
